many varieties of martial arts available for instruction. Ancient Japanese
martial arts, with such familiar names as Judo, Jujitsu, Aikido and, the
most famous of all, Karate, involve variations on high-energy kicks, strikes
and punches. Korea borrowed from the Japanese martial arts to develop a
style known as Tae Kwon Do. Chinese martial arts revolve around various
forms of the familiar name, Kung Fu, which was actually developed by Chinese
monks as a means of protection against robbers. There are many other
variations of martial arts. Fortunately, there are many martial arts schools
in this country that provide a variety of classes that cater to different
